Pasta, pizza, sea, gelato, mandolin, spritz drink, Vespa 50 Special, Colosseum, beaches full of orange and green-striped parasols… the list might be endless, but we really would like to give you an image in particular, a symbol able to bring together the whole country, no matter if we are in the north or in the south: the clothes hung from the windows.
Have you ever walked down any street – in the mountains or at the seaside, through a small hamlet or a large village – and after rising your head you noticed the bed linens hung from the windows?
Ancient legends tell that the hung bed sheet – on that kind of a double concave thread – represents a symbol against the Italian mafia, or the spouses first night after the wedding party.
But the true answer floats in the air, in the breeze coming from the sea, the mountain, the small hamlet or the large village… that breeze that insinuates into the sheet, gently drying it. Look up: the clothes waves, the colours, just smell the scent of fresh laundry in the air, close your eyes and feel yourself at home, or in a far country that warmly welcomes you!
This is why UASHMAMA created a product range, such as the Laundry Bags, entirely dedicated to the laundry. It’s something representing our country and the care we pose on tradition and on a daily activity.
It’s one of our best sellers: the typical laundry sack. What’s special?
- It’s tighten and tall, it can fit any room;
- Cotton handles, 85% coming from recycled t-shirt;
- Buttons on the sides, allowing you to collect the bags: one, two, three, even four! - Front tags where you can write the sack’s contents, such as white or black stuff. Just use some chalk to write, as you’ll always be able to hand-wash them and reuse;
- UASHMAMA’s products are versatile, as the Laundry Bag can be turned into a rubbish separate collection, for paper or plastic: write it on the tag!
The Lapo sack is similar to the previous one, as it’s tighten and tall, equipped with cotton handles and front tag.
So, what’s the difference? The upper drawstring closure, rigorously in organic linen, so that you can hide the contents!
Often we have to bring some clothes to the dry cleaner’s, the laundromat close to home (or to
mum’s) and sometimes we need something large to go grocery shopping. We asked ourselves: why don’t we craft a portable Laundry Bag?
Here we go with our Laundry backpack! Same shape, tighten and tall, but we added two adjustable shoulder straps, some buttons able to seal the bag during the time it’s worn and a reinforced base for easy lifting.
We choose this name as we can feel the seaside breeze every time we look at this bag.
The Positano Bag is shorter and larger than the previous ones, but equipped with recycled cotton handles. The drawstring closure is in organic linen or in stripes-printed cotton.
Which of the two can better remind you Positano?
Make you call!
